Norma Strang has dedicated over two decades to the discipline and depth of Bikram Yoga. With 22+ years of teaching experience, she is one of the early pioneers of Bikram Yoga in Australia and a respected mentor within the community.
She founded and directed four studios, including Bikram Yoga Fitzroy and Bikram Yoga Byron Bay, which operated across three Byron Bay locations — Billinudgel, Belongil, and the Arts & Industry Estate. Through these studios, Norma helped build and sustain thriving yoga communities during the peak expansion years of Bikram Yoga.
Over her career, she has mentored and guided more than 100 teachers, known for her precision, discipline, and unwavering respect for the original 26&2 method. Her work with Bikram Yoga Revival is devoted to restoring the integrity, structure, and depth of the traditional teaching — preserving the dialogue, standards, and transformative power of the practice as it was designed.
Beyond the hot room, Norma’s path extends into deeper yogic study. She has trained in Kriya and Kundalini practices and spent time in India studying under a Himalayan master, immersing herself in classical yogic philosophy, breathwork, meditation, and energetic discipline. This foundation brings a rare blend of structure and spiritual depth to her teaching — grounded, powerful, and uncompromising.
Norma’s teaching is known for its clarity, strength, and authenticity. She is committed to passing on not just a sequence, but a lineage — cultivating teachers and practitioners who embody discipline, resilience, and devotion to the practice.
Bikram Yoga Revival is the culmination of her decades of experience: a return to standards, a return to strength, and a return to the roots.
